I ran into a frustrating problem while organizing my wedding photos. I had a ZIP archive containing over 1,000 photos that I wanted to preserve in my Photos library (and later add to an iCloud Shared Album). Although the iOS Files app can import into Photos, I found that it struggled with large collections. It would sometimes crash or silently import only a portion of the photos, without any clear progress or indication that something had gone wrong.
That's why I built Files to Photos. I originally created it for myself, but I realized it could be useful for others too.
